Target audience: Marketing & Public Relations; Comport or 25Live users

  1. Upload your images to the folder.  Copy-and-paste this UNC path in your Windows file explorer: \\ccs-internet\InternetContent\CCS\Marketing - NOTE:  Must be a member of the InternetContentEditors security group.

  2. Logon to the ComPort and drill down to the Add New Event screen for the desired location.  (Can be used in 25Live events also.)

  3. Use relative addressing in your image tag (do not include the "http://www.xxx.spokane.edu" portion of the URL). See example tag below. The three primary sites have a virtual directory that points to the InternetContent folder. Relative addressing allows the link to work on all three sites simultaneously.

  4. Do not insert an image tag within the first 50 characters of the description or you may break the home pages.

Anchor Tag Syntax

Parts of the tag:

src = source URL to the image

alt = brief, meaningful description of the photo for visually impaired accessibility

height and width = number of pixels

<img src=”/InternetContent/CCS/Marketing/ImageName.jpg” alt=”Something Meaningful About Photo” height=”300” width=”250” />

Optional style tag to float the image to the left or right of the text and to surround it some white space:

<img src=”/InternetContent/CCS/Marketing/ImageName.jpg” alt=”Something Meaningful About Photo” height=”300” width=”250” style=”float:right;padding:10px;” />
