Connecting to CCSNet WiFi from Mac OS X
Overview
CCSNet, the official college WiFi network, is available to all current students, faculty, and staff. These instructions explain how to connect to CCSNet using a Mac.
Step One – Open WiFi Settings
- On your Mac, select the WiFi icon in the upper‑right corner of the menu bar.
- Choose "WiFi Settings…"
- A window will open showing available wireless networks.
Note: CCSNet will appear only when you are within range of the college’s wireless network.
Step Two – Select CCSNet
From the WiFi Settings window, locate and select "CCSNet" from the list of available networks.
Step Three – Sign In With Your CCS Credentials
When prompted, enter your Spokane Colleges network username and password.
Correct Username Format:
- Students: username@bigfoot.spokane.edu
- Employees: username@ccs.spokane.edu, username@scc.spokane.edu, or username@sfcc.spokane.edu
Step Four – Verify the Certificate
Your Mac may prompt you to verify the security certificate for CCSNet.
Select "Continue" to trust the certificate and proceed. You may be required to enter your Mac computer username and password to update trust settings.
Step Five – Finalize Connection
After trusting the certificate and providing your Mac credentials (if prompted), your device will complete authentication and connect to CCSNet.
You should now have full access to the campus wireless network.
